A. The status of the standard inspection form is subordinate to the relevant class rules, special regulations, sailing instructions, etc. In the event of any discrepancy between the standard inspection form and class rules, special regulations, sailing instructions, racing rules of sailing, and local laws and bylaws, the latter take precedence.

B.The consequence of not complying with class rules is possible penalisation including disqualification from a race or series. Think twice before you sign!

C. When inspecting a yacht, if the inspector is uncertain whether to pass or fail the yacht, it will be ‘referred’ to a committee of at least two people, chosen by the relevant class association members participating in the regatta, if not specified in the sailing instructions.

D. This form is for use for an owner or inspector to ‘sign off’ the yacht as complying with class rules.
