You are invited to take part in the Brewin Dolphin Scottish Series 2012 over the Queen’s Jubilee Holiday. Investment managers Brewin Dolphin are Title Sponsor for the thirteenth year, helping to make the range of racing and social activity better than ever.
Racing for all classes will start off Tarbert on Friday 1 June from 1030 hrs and each day to Monday 4 June.
The racing on Loch Fyne will be for IRC rating classes, One Designs, CYCA handicap classes and for yachts with a CYCA handicap using white sails only. There will be a range of courses in addition to windward - leeward.
Yachts without a current handicap certificate can obtain an IRC certificate from www.rorcrating.com and a CYCA certificate from www.cyca-online.org.uk
In the One Design Classes we hope to welcome separate classes for RS Elite, who are holding the Scottish leg of their “Grand Slam”, Laser SB3, who are holding their Scottish Championship, and all other classes will be welcome such as Sigma, Sonata, J80, Cork 1720, Sonar, Hunter 707, Etchell and H-Boat.
There will also be an inbound feeder race from Bangor.
Accommodation in Tarbert during the Brewin Dolphin Scottish Series is available in hotels, bed and breakfast and self-catering accommodation. Tarbert is a small village and the event almost doubles the population. To secure the accommodation suited to your needs, book early.
Slipways for launching smaller yachts are available at Tarbert and across the loch at Portavadie. Craneage facilities will be available at Tarbert on Thursday 31 May from 12.00 to 18.00 and Monday 4 June from 12.00, on the knuckle on the south side, organised by Tarbert Harbour Authority; this cost is NOT included in the entry fee and is the responsibility of the boat owner.
